Defibrillators are devices that send an electric pulse or shock to the heart to restore a normal heartbeat. They prevent or correct an arrhythmia, an uneven heartbeat that is too slow or fast. If the heart suddenly stops, defibrillators can also help it beat again.

In April 2021, the club responded to a request from the Palmerston North Parkrun to provide a Defibrillator for use and its regular Saturday morning events. As the defib would only be available on Saturday mornings, Milson Rotary also requested that it become available to the Feilding Moa Harrier club and Manawatu Striders events.

The defib was warmly received by the Palmerston North Parkrun and Feilding Moa and can be seen at events throughout Manawatu.
